First Cereal

We tried cereal for the first time on Monday night and were not successful. We had waited too long and he was too hungry and mad. So, we caught him when he was just starting to get hungry tonight and he did so good! He ate one tablespoon of rice cereal (mixed with 3 T of formula) and then finished off a 5 oz. bottle of formula! What an appetite!
What a happy guy! Same as with the bottle, we can't talk to him while he's eating or he starts smiling, laughing, and talking to us! Just a little dinner conversation, please.
He did a pretty good job of letting the spoon go in his mouth most of the time. Other times his tongue was pushing it and the food out.
Daddy trying to teach him how to open wide.
Is that all you've got? Notice the empty bowl! He did eat more than he got on his face!!:) Bathtime ASAP after dinner tonight!

Playing with friends and SLEEPING

Vogue.

Chase and MacKenzie came over for a Sunday dinner a few weeks ago and got in lots of time with Carson. He didn't like posing for the pictures, but played hard and cashed out early in his swing. If you've been following his blog, look at old pictures of him in his swing and you can see how much he fills it out now!!! I love his little chubby legs, cheeks and belly! :)

Above, his Valentine's "Heartbreaker in training" outfit for during the day.
Below, getting all dressed up for Valentine's dinner at the Country Club with Mom & Dad.

Nolan Kent and Carson gotta "fight for the right to party" at the Kents on a Friday night. The boys have a lot of the same outfits. Thank you, Carters outlet and Grandmas!

Above: Cat napping on Daddy's chest. What a cuddler!:)
Below: Crashed on Mom's chest...and drooling.
SLEEP-A-HOLIC: Carson has blessed us with three straight nights of 9+ hours sleep. WOW!

Tonight he played for almost a half hour in his Jumparoo. He loves marching, swaying, and bouncing in it. He's also discovered the toys on it and holds on to them like a saddle horn. After the jumping and a bottle, he cashed out for the night in his boppy. Another way of measuring how big he's gotten since his early boppy pictures when he could curl up in the center of it!

Snowed in!

I Love my Grandpa Jimbo!
Grandpa Jim stayed with us all week and enjoyed lots of time with Carson and Dizzle. Grandpa was here to work at Mom's dental office the full week because Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Dave escaped the snow storm with a trip to Florida! Yes, we were very envious when they called telling of 80+ degree weather and sunny beaches!

Williamsburg got over 14 inches of snow from the Tuesday-Wednesday storm! That's over half as tall as Carson!

OH MY! On Super Bowl Sunday, Carson got to meet some of his future classmates and pals. Above is Tate Schaeffer, son of Darcy and Brad. Tate was born in August (~3 mo. older than Carson) and was entertaining us with loud squeals and giggles. Both boys were "talking" during their photo shoot.

Here's Carson with Griffin Becker, son of Amy and Jason, the hosts of the party. Griff was born in September (2 mo. older) and is a healthy, big boy that shared some (off-camera) smiles, too. Griff was using all of his concentration to keep seated upright on these slipery pillows.

"Mom's #1 fan" didn't feel like looking at the camera, but I had to get a picture with our near-matching outfits. This may be as close as we ever come to the matching dresses that my mom sewed for us when I was little! I can shop WAY better than I can sew!:)

Daddy Day Care

Hang on! Ben let Carson nap in his swing while he napped on the couch. When he woke up and checked on the little guy, this is what he found! And he documented it! Time to start using the safety buckle!
This is how I found them napping on the couch another day. Ok, Dad was awake, but pretended to be asleep for the picture. The angle of the picture does look like Carson's slipping off, but I'll testify that he really he was safely on the couch!
Every day after school is Carson's "workout" with Dad, rotating between the Bumbo, tummy time, jumparoo, and Kick n' Crawl. Circuit training for infants! Carson is starting to get more control and sit up more like a big boy!
Tummy time with the Boppy. Carson's new thing: He's discovered his hands. He is constantly nawing on his nuckles and fingers and drooling all over! No thumb sucking yet! (Hopefully never!) :)

"2 month" Dr. visit

At 11 weeks we had his belated 2 month check-up with vaccinations. Carson's official measurements: 25 1/2 inches (>95-percentile), 14 pounds 10.5 ounces (90%), and head 16 1/2 inches (80%). Yes, we do have a big boy! He was none to happy with his shots and afterwards has been a treat. Thank goodness for Tylenol!

Carson at the Dental office, helping Kari (Megan's hygienist) get ready for the next patient. Carson is at the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the girls and patients enjoy seeing him!

Ride strong!

Carson modeled some of his Harley gear from Grandpa & Grandma Grier. The "skull cap" looked cute, but didn't stay on for long! Carson "rolls" in his stroller with mom a few days a week at the Rec Center, no Harleys yet.
