6 month check-up
Hello! We had Carson's six month check-up on Friday. He is 28 3/4 inches long (off the charts again!), 18 1/2 pounds (75th-percentile), and his head is 17 7/8th in. (90th %). We do have a string bean! He had more of his immunizations, and we are now on day 2 of mild fever and fussiness. Other than the last 48 hrs., we are so thankful and enjoy our VERY happy, smiley, laughing boy!
TEETHING UPDATE: Carson got his first tooth, on the lower left front, 2 wks ago! On this last Wed. he started getting the neighbor to the right. Two teeth now!:) We've been trying to get a good photo, but he's a little protective of them and just tries to chew our fingers when we try!

Carson's dinnertime
Outfit note: This shirt is from G'pa and G'ma Swanson, a souvenior from their Hawaii trip last summer. Usually G'pa Jim works for mom on Thursdays, so we dressed up for him, forgetting that he was sub. teaching in Chariton today. So, the blog is being used to show it off. Also, the shorts are some of "cousin" Jake's from Arizona, thank you for all of the great surfer style summer gear!

FOUR month update
Hello! Carson had his 4 month check-up on Friday and some more fun shots. His new measurements are 16.5 lbs (80th%, he had that yucky flu-like cold a few weeks ago and is catching back up), 90th percentile for head size, and 27.5 inches long (>95%, off the charts!). Yes, we still have a big boy here!

Developmental update: He's added some new sounds to his "conversations" and we have a lot of fun talking to him and making him laugh! He's grabbing onto things very strongly and loves to cuddle his blankets, especially the afgan-like ones. He likes to try to help hold the bottle during feedings, and we can't talk to him while he's eating or he stops and smiles, laughs, and coos. He'll hold his head up and look all around during tummy time, which he now can handle for several minutes before getting frustrated. He can now sit up with a little support and is much less wobbly. He also is a healthy eater with his rice cereal. We tried pears this weekend and he spit 99% of it back out at us, not a fan yet! AND, mom and dad's favorite...he's back on track sleeping 8-10 hours at night! Yeah!:)

Letter from Carson
I've been feeling a little under the weather this past week with the "Rotovirus." I'm getting a little frustrated that I can't eat much and keep spitting up. But, overall I'm still happy. Sorry, mom, both Grandmas, Grandpa Dave, Uncle Bob, AND Cousin Chase for giving all of you upset tummies, too! Here's what I was up to before I got sick. Love, Carson
The end. (I can roll onto my side, but going all the way over to my tummy is overrated, I don't like tummy time!)
