June Recap--Photo Max Capacity!?!

 Congrats, Margie, on your Retirement!!
A successful and appreciated career in teaching---from the classroom to special education (LD/BD)--you have helped so many kids through the years!  Thank you for the many years you took off from teaching to stay home (SAHM) with Bob and I, too!
 Jim and Margie
The happy retired couple ready for the next chapter of travel, grandkids, and fun!
 Margie and her bestie, Lynn.
Lynn made a great collage of photos through the years.
Mom's retirement party cake featured figures of her and dad "on top of the world" and figures of Bob and my families. My childhood softball friend, Jenny Blue, made this awesome cake. It was delicious, too!
Family fun at the Chariton swimming pool.
B couldn't get enough of the Firetruck slide!
Brady and Carson wanted to play basketball with the big kids!
Someday, fellas!
We met one of my HS best friends and her son at the pool
Amy and Cy had lots of fun, too!
A stop in at Montezuma on the way home and the boys get spoiled with some of their favorite things on the farm---Ranger and tractor rides!

Me and my bestie Jenn! (Jenny to me!)
We had a great day at the Matzens' home in Indianola.
Jenny and her boyfriend, Ryan, were home from Arizona visiting. We had the whole families together with Jenny's brother, wife and new baby and Bob's family, too. Her sister arrived from Tennessee as our gathering was winding down. We have so many great memories growing up with the Matzens in Chariton!

 The Grandpas were the victors!

I miss you, Jenny!
So crazy, friends for life!
We were born just 8 days apart, grew up together, moved apart, rejoined in Dental school, and now apart again. Our friendship has stayed strong like there were and are no gaps!

May Recap

Easter was early...so I'm including a few pics with the May update! We were lazy on getting the camera out, so only have a few pics!
Carson, Nana, and Dizzle getting in some cuddle time
 Brady loved the Choo Choo's!
Carson and Ella enjoying their Easter egg treasures

MAY
 Easter eggs?
 We wish!
HAIL!
We had a ferocious hail storm on Graduation Sunday here in Williamsburg.
We were camped out in the basement and then playing with the hail, didn't think to take pictures until about 30 minutes after it hailed....so these are quite reduced from the actual storm size.
Lots of golfball to some nearly baseball sized hail!
The hail melted, but our porch and patio remain littered now with asphalt bits that keep falling off our roof since the storm. We're battling insurance.....ours is one of two houses in our neighborhood that has been denied replacement! They said there was no damage!!! My littered yard and polka dot shingles beg to differ! (We are still pursuing this!)
Pajama party after hitting O'Rourkes (Boys' babysitter) and other Grad parties.
 Sweethearts Photo Op....
since we're all dressed up, honey,
we get to be in some pics together!

April Recap

Okay, we didn't shut down the Grier Family Blog, just had a very busy summer!
I'll just have to do Month recaps to help catch up!
Our house is enjoying post-baseball Summer family time and normalcy.
We'll be on the go a lot this month to pack in all of our last-chance summer fun before school starts....this time for Ben AND Carson!!
That's right, Carson heads to preschool in less than a month!!  (sniff, sniff)
