Baby Brady is Here!!!

As many have already heard, Brady Allan Grier joined us on Monday, January 11th at 9:26 a.m.  Brady weighed 9lbs. 8.6oz. and was 21 inches long.  Mom has had two good days of recovery from the C-section.  Any regrets of not having Brady naturally were quickly thrown out the window when mom saw and heard how big of a boy she just had.  LOL!  We would like to thank our friends, family and Pastor Parks for the kind messages, gifts and visits we were given with Brady's arrival.  We are looking forward to coming home on Thursday and beginning our days as a family of four!!  Here are some pictures of Mom, Dad, Carson and Brady.  Megan will get more pics up to share when she gets home.

Big Brother Carson was interested in Brady but didn't really touch him much besides two kisses on top of the head.  He just kept looking at him saying, "WHOA!"  It was pretty cute!!

This picture of Brady was all I had for a close up, but you can see how much they look alike.  We cannot believe in some of the pictures how similar their features are.  We feel so blessed that everything is going well with Mom and Baby Brady and again would like to thank everyone for the kind words and congratulations with his arrival!

39 weeks and counting........

Less than 48 hours until we get to meet our little boy!  We cannot wait to see what/who he looks like and everything else that you anticipate as the day creeps up on awaiting parents!!  We'll see you Monday morning, buddy!!!!!!!!

One week until Baby Boy Grier #2!

Wow!  I know I'm turbo-blogger tonight!  Sorry for the Grier Family overload!  It's one of the things on my Checklist of baby prep:
"Get caught up on Blog" Check.  At least the photos part, not much commentary.
"Pack hospital bag" half check, Ben's not packed yet!
"Pack Carson's bag for Grandma's"  finishing laundry tonight, try to pack soon!
"Baby bedding, clothes, bottles washed"  Check. Check. Check.
"Carseat ready." Check.
"Double Stroller." Check. Thank you, Ben, for spending your Christmas $$ on the boys!:)
"Decide on Baby's Name"  Check!! :)
          We think....we're to indecisive to share before the day! :) Carson can say the name though!:) And    Aunt Christine has been trying very, very hard to get it out of him! (No, it's not Tractor, Light, Play, or Baby that he responds to everyone but us!)
"Make it through work days"  Only 2.5 days of work left!
"Finish basement remodel" Ok, that one won't be checked for several more weeks, but it was wishful thinking when we dove in just in November!
"Get Carson to realize he's going to be a big brother, there is a baby in mommy's belly." Sorry, buddy, ready or not! Baby will be here soon!  Some times he seems to get it, other times he thinks Daddy and him have babies in their bellies, too!

Playdates with Cousin Ella

We went and visited Ella in Des Moines the night before Grandma Margie got out of the hospital from her knee replacement surgery early December. Carson was a big helper, making sure Ella was always surrounded by toys.  Then on Uncle Bob and Aunt Julie's 1-year wedding anniversary, Ella came and stayed the night with us at Grandma Kathy's.  Ella was just starting to get up and crawl, but could wiggle faster in an army crawl.  Carson and her did some exploring, fought over a few toys/blankets (Ella held her own!), but overall had a lot of fun!!  Ella is such a good baby girl!  Carson got lots of practice being a helper!
